Your Ultimate Weapon: A great app!!
Whether you are fine tuning your triathalon skills as an advanced marathoner, or just trying to get your feet wet again like I was, I strongly recommend a great app that can guide you through practical steps toward meeting your goals. I absolutely love Runna! If you are training for a race in particular, you just plug in the distance and date of the race, and it tailors a training plan for you. You can adjust your length of the race and level of difficulty for training at any time. The app will monitor your breathing and pace throughout the training, and give you constructive feedback to help you along the way. Additionally, it offers "a la carte" exercises that give you points toward running attire and hygiene products!

Joint Shields: Use Multiple!
1. Take a good supplement daily...I recommend Vitamatic: Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM Gummies. I purchased them on Amazon for $12.74 for 60 gummies. Yeah, Amazon. I was really skeptical about it, but I was also in a lot of pain after feeling like I tore my hip, so I had nothing to lose. And turns out, they actually work, really well!! I've got them on a recurring subscription now.

2. Knee braces. If it gives you compression, you are good. It costs between $10-20 on Amazon. I think that if you're over 40 and training for a race long-term, or you are injury prone or healing from an injury, you should definitely be wearing these.

3. Don't forget to stretch, but more details to come about that in my blog!

Your Feet Matter!
Your feet really matter...The biggest mistake you can make is choosing the wrong shoes based on a brand, fashion, or something your friend likes. What you need are shoes that have enough cushion, are breathable, and most of all fit YOUR arch.
So, for those of you like me with high arches, I would recommend this brand or something similar: https://amzn.to/4deG1ZL
Low arches: you're gonna need more arch support. I would recommend this brand: https://amzn.to/4i7RFZP
